We appreciate your interest in our company. In accordance with the provisions of Art. 13, 14 and 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we hereby inform you about the processing of personal data submitted by you during the application process, as well as any data collected by us, and your related rights. To ensure that you are fully informed about the processing of your personal data within the application process, please take note of the following information. <\/p>\n

3. Purposes and legal bases of processing<\/strong>
\nWe process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), insofar as this is necessary for the decision on establishing an employment relationship with us. The legal basis for this is Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (1) BDSG, as well as Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR for the initiation or execution of contractual relationships, if applicable.
\nShould you provide us with special categories of data yourself (e.g., health data, for example, information about a severe disability), the processing will be based on Art. 9 (2) lit. b GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (3) BDSG.
\nFurthermore, we may process your personal data if this is necessary for compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR) or for the defense of asserted legal claims against us. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
\nFurthermore, we process your data to safeguard our legitimate interests, e.g., in the case of centralized corporate functions and the associated data exchange between us and affiliated companies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
\nIf you give us explicit consent to process personal data for specific purposes, the lawfulness of this processing is based on your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Granted consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future (see Section 9 of this privacy information).
\nIf an employment relationship is established between you and us or our subsidiaries, we may continue to process the personal data already received from you for the purposes of the employment relationship, in accordance with Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG, insofar as this is necessary for the performance or termination of the employment relationship or for the exercise or fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the employee representation arising from a law or a collective agreement, a works or service agreement (collective agreement). <\/p>\n

4. Categories of personal data<\/strong>
\nWe only process data related to your application. This may include general personal data (name, address, contact details, etc.), information about your professional qualifications and schooling, information on professional development, and any other data you submit to us in connection with your application. <\/p>\n

5. Sources of data<\/strong>
\nWe process personal data that we receive from you by post, email, or via our social media presence during initial contact or your application, or that you transmit to us via external recruitment service providers.
\nFor special protection of your personal data, you are welcome to transmit it to us encrypted, e.g., in PDF format. Please then choose an alternative channel to communicate the corresponding password to us. <\/p>\n

6. Recipients of the data<\/strong>
\nWithin our corporate group, we only pass on your personal data to those persons who require this data to fulfill contractual and legal obligations or to implement our legitimate interest.
\nWe may transmit your personal data to affiliated companies (HUECK Engraving GmbH & Co. KG, HUECK Design GmbH or Berndorf Band GmbH), insofar as this is permissible within the scope of the purposes and legal bases set out in Section 3 of this data protection information sheet. In this case, we will only pass on your data to the company for which you have applied. In this case, we act in joint responsibility with this company and have concluded an agreement for the protection of your data, whereby we primarily fulfill the information obligations and are the contact point for exercising your rights.
\nAs a matter of principle, your data will not be passed on to recipients outside the corporate group, unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have expressly consented to the data transfer. <\/p>\n

7. Transfer to a third country<\/strong>
\nA transfer to a third country is not intended.<\/p>\n

8. Duration of data storage<\/strong>
\nWe store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the decision on your application. Your personal data or application documents will be deleted no later than 3 years after the end of the application process (e.g., the announcement of the rejection decision), unless longer storage is legally required or permitted. We will only store your personal data beyond this period if it is legally required or, in the specific case, necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims for the duration of a legal dispute.
\nIn the event that you have consented to longer storage of your personal data, we will store it in accordance with your declaration of consent.
\nIf an employment, training, or internship relationship is established after the application process, your data will, if necessary and permissible, initially continue to be stored and then transferred to the personnel file.
\nYou may receive an invitation to join our talent pool after the application process. This allows us to consider you for suitable vacancies in our applicant selection in the future. If we have your corresponding consent, we will store your application data in our talent pool in accordance with your consent or any future consents. <\/p>\n

9. Your rights<\/strong>
\nEvery data subject has the right to information according to Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification according to Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure according to Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing according to Art. 18 GDPR, the right to notification according to Art. 19 GDPR, and the right to data portability according to Art. 20 GDPR.
\nFurthermore, there is a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority according to Art. 77 GDPR if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not lawful. The right to complain exists irrespective of any other administrative or judicial remedy.
\nIf the processing of data is based on your consent, you are entitled according to Art. 7 GDPR to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Please note that the revocation only takes effect for the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected by this. Please also note that we may have to retain certain data for a certain period to comply with legal requirements (see Section 8 of this privacy information). <\/p>\n

Right to object<\/strong>
\nInsofar as the processing of your personal data is carried out according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR to safeguard legitimate interests, you have the right, according to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of this data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process this personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims. <\/p>\n

10. Necessity of providing personal data<\/strong>
\nThe provision of personal data in the context of application processes is neither legally nor contractually required. You are therefore not obliged to provide information about your personal data. Please note, however, that this information is necessary for the decision on an application or the conclusion of a contract regarding an employment relationship with us. If you do not provide us with personal data, we cannot make a decision on establishing an employment relationship. We recommend that you only provide personal data that is necessary for the application process. <\/p>\n

11. Automated decision-making<\/strong>
\nPersonnel selection is not carried out automatically within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.<\/p>\n
